Two time Grammy Award
winner CeCe Winans will be the special guest at a concert provided by
the Women of the Pacific Conference in Auckland.
One of the most celebrated singers in contemporary music Cece Winans
has an armload of gold and platinum records, awards, honours and
chart-topping hits to her name including the Grammy for Best Gospel
Singer in 1987 and 1989.
Hundreds of women of all races from around New Zealand will gather in
Auckland to enjoy a three day programme of Christian fellowship,
workshops and a youth programme tailored for youngsters between the
ages of 12-17.
Guest speakers Princess Siulikutapu of Tonga, Pastor Cecily Soneham,
west Auckland mother of two Maliena Jones and Silver Fern netballer
Linda Vagana will lead the fellowship at the TelstraClear Pacific
Events Centre in Manukau.
Sponsored by World Vision in association with TelstraClear Pacific,
Centra Hotel and Thrifty Cars, Women of the Pacific is the culmination
of two years of careful planning and daily prayers by a committee of
dedicated Christian women.
Its vision embraces the fulfilment of women in their roles as mothers
and wives balancing family and work responsibilities and meeting daily
demands at work and study.
Princess Siulikutapu is the eldest granddaughter of the late Queen
Salote. She will share her journey from a young woman to being a wife,
mother and now a widow and grandmother. She stands on the foundation of
God's Word and holds close those promises.
Pastor Cecily Stoneham is an internationally respected healing
evangelist who brings a message of hope for all. She is able to
instruct and encourage Christians so that they can lay their hands on
the sick and see the power of God.
West Auckland mother of two, Maliena Jones is committed to serving in
her local church. She and husband, former All Black Michael Jones, have
two beautiful children.
Maliena has it in her heart to encourage women to discover and embrace
their God-given potential and to equip them in a practical and down to
earth way. |

Conference host is Pasifika Festival Project Manager Mere Lomaloma
Elliott who brings with her the joy and privilege of being one of the
King's daughters. For Mere the Almighty is all knowing, all wise, who

unchangeable in his love toward all people.
Emeline Afeaki will share her multicultural experiences and the migrant
journey of her parents which have allowed her an abounding world of
knowledge. But, she says, there is much more when one discovers the
inheritance promised by our Lord Jesus Christ and what he is able to
provide for us through his own ultimate journey that culminates on the
cross.
